We celebrate Teachers Day on September 5th, the birth anniversary of a great teacher Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was a staunch believer in education and was a well-known diplomat, scholar, the President of India and above all, a noble Teacher.

📌 The word ‘Teacher’, a trendy marketing term in the West for someone whose expertise has garnered them some followers, actually derives from the ancient Sanskrit language meaning ‘Guru’.

📌 In the original Vedic culture the 'Guru' (Teacher) was a saintly person, whose role was indispensable in guiding the spiritual progress and development of the disciples or students by instructing them in particular ceremonies, and rites of passage and enlightening them about the material and spiritual realities, and their real purpose of life.

🙏
Thanks, Regards
