The Glimpse of Radha Ashtami

Today is the very auspicious birth anniversary of Srimati Radharani & it is celebrated as Radha Ashtami. Radhaji was born on the Ashtami of Bhadrapada Shukla Paksha. Once during the Hindu lunar month of Bhadra (which falls over August and September in the Western calendar).

According to Brahmavaivarta Purana, Radharani is the “Hladini Shakti” (Potential Energy) of Shri Krishna.

Srimati Radharani is the “Vrndavanesvari” Queen of Vrindavan and “Kríshnä -Samyuta” most eternal potential energy of Shri Kríshnä.
